Introduction:
We are a growing community of students and early-career scientists at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg and nearby research institutes. Our mission is to support students, connect people, and build a welcoming network for academic and personal growth. Concept:
Our concept in short: We are different from most GBM city groups. Instead of mainly organizing our own events (3 per Semester), we focus on supporting and promoting life science initiatives across the FAU campus. We believe that collaboration creates greater impact than competition and that quality is more important than quantity.
As part of GBM, FEBS, and IUBMB, we can also offer our members unique opportunities and benefits that are not available through most other student initiatives.

Portfolio:
To keep our structure clear and make our activities easy to understand, we developed two concepts: the Campus Support Portfolio (CSP) and the Student Support Portfolio (SSP).
The Campus Support Portfolio presents the support we offer to life science initiatives in return for introducing our Student Support Portfolio to their members—a true win-win collaboration.
The Student Support Portfolio summarizes the exclusive benefits available to GBM members. All offers are barrier-free and financially accessible, making membership attractive and beneficial for every student.
