Get Involved, Shape the Future
The Junior-GBM Working Groups (AGs) are where motivated students and young researchers take action beyond their studies. Organized into three clusters – Responsibility, Networking, and Communication – they offer opportunities to gain new skills, connect with others, and make an impact in science and society.

FAQs
What are Junior-GBM Working Groups (AGs)?
Working Groups are teams of motivated Junior-GBM members who collaborate on specific topics such as mental health, sustainability, mentoring, or science communication. They give you the chance to contribute beyond local city groups and shape national initiatives.
What are the benefits of joining a Working Group?
- Networking with peers across Germany and Europe
- Gaining soft skills in organization, communication, and teamwork
- Shaping initiatives with national and international visibility
- Making your CV stand out through extracurricular engagement
How much time do I need to invest?
The workload is flexible. Most groups meet online every few weeks. You can contribute according to your availability and interest – from occasional tasks to long-term projects.
Can I join more than one Working Group?
Yes. Many members are active in more than one group, though we recommend starting with one to get familiar with the workflow.
