Sustainability

Current issues

At the jGBM Sustainability Working Group, we are committed to collecting and sharing sustainable solutions from research and everyday lab life.

Our goal is to inspire change, raise awareness, and support anyone who wants to implement greener practices in their laboratory.

Sustainability in the Life Sciences – Join Our Green Movement!

One highlight is our “How to Green Your Lab” info poster, offering practical tips for more sustainable lab work.

The poster is available for free download and serves as a quick and inspiring guide to reducing environmental impact in scientific laboratories.

Raise awareness with our stickers!

To make sustainability more visible in the scientific community, we’ve designed and printed Sustainability Stickers that are shared at all on-site jGBM meetings and events.
Each sticker carries a creative message or visual reminder to inspire greener thinking in labs and beyond — from saving energy and reducing plastic waste to rethinking everyday research routines.
